Fees
Outpatient Appointment
Patients must read the following information carefully as we are obliged by the law to provide this information to you. In addition, if you have medical insurance, this section will assist you in understanding how you can use insurance to cover your charges.
Meanwhile, if a family member or a third party will be paying your medical bills, it is advised that they go through this page carefully.
Do note that the patient must pay any charges not covered by a third-party payer or medical insurance.
Consultation Fee
My fee for an initial consultation will not exceed €250 and my fee for any follow-up consultation will not exceed €180.
You may need specific tests following the consultation, such as imaging scans or blood tests. Based on the results of these tests, I will be able to make a precise diagnosis for your condition. If the tests are conducted by a private lab, clinic, or hospital, they will determine the fees for these procedures. The bill for these tests will be charged to your medical insurer or you.
If I conduct the tests, I will provide you with the information about the fees.
Private Medical Insurance
Patients with private medical insurance must contact their insurers before scheduling a consultation. Make sure you're familiar with the terms of your insurance plan, especially the outpatient coverage provided by your insurer.
Some insurers have a reimbursement limit on consultation fees. Get in touch with your medical insurer if you aren't aware of the terms of your plan.
•Did you know that many health insurance plans give guaranteed refunds on Consultants visits with no excess to pay first? For some it is up to 50% of the cost and many new plans are covering up to 75% of the cost.
•These guaranteed refunds are available on most corporate plans from all health insurers (VHI, Laya & Irish Life Health)
•Between cash back and tax relief the saving can be significant. For example on a €300 fee it might only cost you €60 (75% cash back plus tax relief on the balance).
